Just bought a Rocket Bunny
Hey guys, my name is Shan and I just bought Jim Pan's old red rocket bunny that he built for SEMA in 2014. I've wanted the car since he built it and 5 years later its mine! It has a few paint chips from the wider wheels kicking up rocks and the front lip is fucked so I'm having the shop that installed the kit and paint the car go over and fix every paint flaw on it until she's as beautiful as she was in 2014. The car came with stock seats and no rear diffuser so I ordered a new rocket bunny rear diffuser and new red Bride seats with takata harnesses and also bought a set of 99 spec tails for it since it has stock tails. I'm one happy guy and very grateful that I finally have this sexy beast in my possession!

Hello, Shan!
Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing a photo of your new baby! You certainly are one lucky fella! How are things in Old Sac town? I had the pleasure to visit downtown Sacramento...it was a good time!
Be sure to check out the forum guidelines on the FAQ page. There is plenty of info there and also on the FD FAQ threads. Please remember, full access to the forum will become available after 10 posts in the new member section.
Again, welcome!

Hey George, thank you! Sacramento is ok but it’s turning into a mini la with everyone moving here from the Bay Area haha. I’ll be sure to check out all this forum has to offer me. I appreciate it buddy. Cheers!

You're welcome! I understand your frustration about the influx of out-of-towners. This may sound cheesy but I got a big kick out of the Californaia Train Museum in Old Sac. There was a lot of cool stuff there and its central message - the transcontinental railroad story, was portrayed very well. I would go there again!
BTW, did you know that US-50 is the longest continuous ribbon of US highway that stretches from East to West Coast? Its Eastern Terminus is Ocean City, MD and its Western Terminus is West Sacramento, CA!

Haha not too cheesy. Yea that railroad museum is huge! You know what’s funny is that I’ve always wondered why they had a sign on HWY 50 that says Ocean City MD 3073 miles away. I always told myself “Who the hell would care how far away Ocean City MD is from Sacramento?” Haha now it all makes sense! Thanks for the knowledge. The more I know

In fact here’s a sign in Ocean City MD telling drivers how far away California is from the East Coast haha!

Thank you! I’m actually good friends with the body shop who installed the kit and painted the car. After SEMA Jim sold it to the owner of the body shop who eventually sold it to his cousin years later. I told the owner of the body shop if his cousin ever sold it to please lmk! Last August I get a text saying “Still interested in the FD?” and here I am now a little broke but very happy

Thank you! Everything is exactly the same besides the seats and rear diffuser taken off when the car was sold the first time to the body shop owner. Had stocks seats when I bought it which I replaced for red Brides and just waiting on a new Rocket Bunny diffuser from Japan, otherwise she’s loaded with the same goodies as when the article was wrote.
