WA Just another new guy.

Hello everyone! My name is Alex, I am 22 years old, from WA. Unfortunately I don't own anything rotory powered just yet. Currently I am saving up for an FD. Hopefully I will have enough $$ by May, to purchase one of those sexy machines. I'm kinda glad I don't have all of the money yet, it gives me enough time to dig through all of these threads, and learn as much as I can about the rotory,, before I even get my hands on it.

Good luck on the FD. Hope you find one soon.

Don't worry you'll have one soon enough. Just keep reading up on these Rotaries like you said and when you finally get yours you'll be an expert. lol

I'm in a similar boat, but just waiting on a financial aid disbursement here (been doing my reading for the last couple months...ready to buy one and put my studies to the test ASAP). I'm so stoked to get myself an RX-7. Probably gonna be an FC or FB (as much as I'd love an FD, I can't really budget for it) myself. What part of Washington are you from? I'm in Portland myself, so if you're at any drift events in the area maybe we'll bump into each other.

Sounds like me, this forum really lets you look at options and the pros and cons of certain mods and styles. Good luck, hope you and I both get one soon.

I live in Lakewood. If I ever come down to Portland, it will be in my 240. I really want to drift the go-kart track you guys have.

Welcome. FD's are gorgeous but, the FC isn't too bad. I will be picking up an FC around the same time you do.

Make sure that you don't purchase an FD and leave your bank account empty afterwards. You'll need enough cash to keep it running, and there WILL be expenses that you won't account for.

Pat's Acres? (PARC) I was just there for a drift event yesterday; it was sweet! There were about a million 240sxs, a bunch of AE86's, a Miata, a Mustang, a pretty new 350z, and an FC that sounded like a jet plane when it took off. It had the Turbo hood, but when I looked at the engine later there wasn't a turbo in it. Didn't stop it from being the fastest car there off the line though. (except for maybe a Supra that it never ran tandem with, so it's hard to say)

This is the only picture I took on my phone of the event...I feel it sums up the day pretty well.

California, seems to have A LOT of FDs, but I I'm not down to roll that deep. Trying to find something local.

Wow how did that happen? PARC seems like a safe place to drift.

Woot! Little update. xD ended up picking one up sooner then I thought I would. 1994, original manual with 68k on the body. Only paid $5900. The seats are a pretty worn out, but the rest of the interior is almost flawless.
