Hey guys!

Jake from CA here. Just bought an 88 S4, briefly owned a 91 turbo a few years ago as well. Loved the first one, but the seals blew and ruined the engine.
Found the 88 locally and jumped on it, but stupidly offered to take care of reg and smog for a few hundred less with a promise that it would pass. Of course it didn't, but I have a local specialist shop I had an appointment at anyway to give the car a good once over.
I had heard about this website from a friend who owned one several years ago, and loved the idea of the car club. So here I am!

I'm going to post in the tech section about the smog problem for some advice!
