welcome to the club. if u have all the paper work of all the work done, see who did the tranny and take it to them. it could be a linkage issue but who knows. it'll have to be taken apart to know what's really wrong. can u get reverse? how much mechanical ability do u have, meaning have u ever worked on a car before?

transmission

its got a new clucth but the gears are messed up, it feels like 3rd 4th 5th and reverse dont exist, but 1st and second work fine??? no grinds just not there when i got to put in in the higher gears. wtf theres only 4,000 miles on the new tranny done by nor cal transmission. new syncros bearings and seals . is it the tail house linkage or the tranny, ive never heard of loosing that many gears at once. if it is the tranny anyone got one in good shape i could buy off them ?

MT Nice car

I would check with the shop that did the work first. Can you feel any resistance when you try to shift into the higher gear you should feel a little when moving from gear to gear. If the shop won't fix it you should be able to find a cheap tranny. I have one from a 1980 Gs but I live in Montana shipping would not be cheap. I would check on the forum or ebay for one.
