Intro and more....
Hello to All, what a great resource this site is.
I am happy to once again join the club of proud RX-7 owners. In the last millennial, right out of high school, I had an RX-2 that was crazy fun, but at the time very hard to find proper parts to keep her rolling. Later when living in California I had an early '79 FA, lost that one in a divorce.......fast forward 25 years to the present.
I live in the Midwest. My son who lives near Portland, Oregon, calls me out of the blue and asks me if I was interested in a couple of 12B's that were in a shed in rural Washington.State. They had been parked for some time after the previous owners death. His kids not interested in the project the two cars seemed. My son and a buddy went and looked at them. Covered, dusty, but no rust, motors not locked up, original titles......this is sounding too good to be true....put in some batteries and gas.......they started. Deal done, titles in hand they hauled em off.
So now we have two running 85 GSL's, the perfect father son project.
I'll keep you posted on the project and get some pictures up
