Intro

Hello rotary friends,
This is my introduction. 23 years ago, I was 17 years old and had no interest in cars. Then I got a ride from a friend in his S4 turbo FC and it changed my life. That car glued me to the passenger seat like those old gravatron rides at carnivals and sounded like a sewing machine while doing it. Thus began my obsession with rotary engines and FC Rx-7s.

Since then I've owned several FCs, and I just bought another one. I bought that car, the same one that changed my life at 17! It's in terrible shape, but I plan to restore it to its former glory. Long term plans involve a standalone ecu and Borg Warner EFR 8374 turbo, but first the car will be stripped down to bare bones and sent off to the body shop for repairs.

I've been a lurker on this forum for over 15 years, and I'm looking forward to being a more active participant.

Here it is from the pretty side. It has very little rust, but the interior is trashed and it needs paint and dent repair.

I have this damaged S5 NA car with really nice black interior that I'm planning to swap over to the S4. The only problem is the S5 has no sunroof. I'm considering cutting the roof out of the S5 and welding it in to the S4 so that I can use the S5 headliner.

The 87 appears to be very original and very restorable! Definitely rare to see a TII without a sunroof!!
