My names chris. I have an 84 gsl that i basically brought back from death. It sat for 15 years outside, no love no care. It even got plowed into by a plow literally. I caught wind it was gonna be crushed so i scooped it up for 500 bucks. Not bad u say till u know the hell i went through to fix it. The motor was junk, needed all the brakes the struts the shocks all the exhaust 4 tires battery etc etc. Needless to say a bit of a project. So i finally got it on the road like 6 months ago, and sadly im getting bored of 100 horse and a junky carb i cant get to work right. Im always on a tight budget but any tips on cheap hp upgrades would b great. lemme know what you think.

 

Did ya clean the gas tank? Cheap and fairly easy, actually. And key for a good working carb. Next, exhaust. Delete the cats, at the very least. A header would be next. You can find the pep for not much money.

 

I changed the gas tank already rebuilt the carb and it didnt change and i did delete the cats when i did the exhaust

 

So ambitious. My heart goes out to the romantic that can look at a car and see potential rather than junk.
