If you love something let it go?? And a re-introduction...
they say if you love something let it go...if it comes back blah blah blah. I write this as sort of a re-introduction, as I stopped posting/reading when i sold my 87 NA 7. After 4 years of saving my paper route earnings, i found myself the proud new owner of this car (which needed work, trust me) at only 14. I spent countless hours and all of my money getting her ready for when I got my licence. I drove it until i was 18, but then - college. she had to go. It was later replaced by the beast that is known as the 2.3L mustang (91). Lame. But a long story short, I started trade school, and had the funds and dumb luck to stumble upon a MINT porsche 944s. I figured why not, lets give this thing a try. Then to my amazment I found MY rx7 listed in the classifieds. I couldnt pass it up. So now the porsche has to go. But me being my indecisive self, wound up in college again. Rx7 must go again. So this leads me to where I am today, driving a ford superduty (more dumb luck to find that one), last semester of college, and my prized 7 is for sale again (same one!). Needless to say, tonight I am once again the proud new owner of this car.
How does that saying go? if it comes back 3 times it was meant to be? The last owners have torn it to hell, so im in the same place i was 7 years ago with the same car. Now my first true love will soon be my first true track car. The suspension still has the same clunk, the blower motor still only works about 50%, the passenger door still wont open from the outside, and it still probably only gets 15 mpg. And I wouldn't have it any other way .
Best regards, Jeff.

I myself have a habit of developing a strong bond with my cars, I have a 79 rx7 and an 88 TII. I have to part with my 79 soon which makes me really sad, but my 88 is the one who is meant for me. your story really brought my spirits up today, sucks the other owners didn't care for your car. good luck with everything though.
