I may have a ticket for this club... (from Italy)
Hello everybody,
I'm a 32 years old sportscar passionate who always lived this passion with "someone else's" toys, and too many magazines and TV shows.
My everyday drive is a BMW 118d automatic, quite the opposite of driving excitement, but something I "need" for the long runs nevertheless, and I will still keep. A great car. My other hobby is high-fidelity, and I also happen to be a reviewer for a couple italian magazines, hence my money always went straight into that well, keeping me away from 4-wheels temptations.
This hot summer, like many others in the past, is remembering me of the beauty of turning off the stereo and goin' out for a ride; my BMW doesn't quite fit. I decided that it's time for a decent, second, fun car, to only take out in special, adrenalinic occasions.
My love, as an engineer, has always been geared towards japanese jems in the likes of the Honda S2000's F20, the Toyota Supra's 2JZ, the Nissan Skyline's RB26, and many others, with some... "love and fear" about the Mazda RX-7's 13B-REW. This is indeed the last engine and the last car of the bunch I ever thought I could come up with, in a future, but the thing is, a few days ago I read a local advert for a Efini RX-7 and fell deeply in love.
I will meet the great guy at the shop for a talk in the next week or so, but before doing that, I'll open a thread describing the car with some pictures of it, hoping to receive some good advice from you guys.
Hoping that everything will go smoothly and I ultimately buy this pretty thing, I thank you for welcoming me in the forum.
Giacomo, from the nothern italian lakes.
