I知 new to rotary world I just got a road racing Rx7 build 80

I was doin a job in brea in a old ladies garage and noticed a bunch of pics of a guy standing next to a race car on a road race coarse and asked her if they were a fan of this driver and she said yes that it was her husband and that he road raced professionally and had sponsors and that he had passed away 6 month ago and I gave my condolences and a hug and we started talking about racing and I told her I love road racing but I was building a Honda crx si because it was Lee痴 money to build for road racing and there really good cars love them but then she wanted to show me something in the garage and it was a 80 Rx7 fully built for road racing it was beautiful all done up it was her husbands last project before passing away from altziemer and she said they payed 10k just for the engine and that David steal built it in San Diego for the next season of road racing but the rest of the car was built by her husband Richard crites and she wanted to sell it to me I told her I知 a poor man and that I didn稚 have the money to even buy just the engine and she said god works in mysterious ways and said to finish building my crx and sell it and give her what ever I get and the Rx7 was mine no brained I took a long time to finish it and sell it the crx and when I did I called her but no answer for 3 month I thought I lost that deal and 1 1/2 to2 yrs later I trued calling and she answered and asked me when am I picking up my car and I told her I had to sell my current build a ek ex b20v track build and I did and called her and know I have her husbands race car and want to bring it back to life and show her she asked me if I could and she is 80 so everything is there she said just needs to be wired up and need to do Exaust with headers I think that痴 it I知 sure other miner stuff and fill all the fluid so if any one might be able to help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it if it wasn稚 thanks to the lady and Richard I would never had such a beautiful car rip Richard crites

welcome to the board.

that's a beautiful car, and a beautiful story. i like reading things like this.

you mentioned wiring and exhaust, is that all you need to get is running?

definitely get yourself acclimated to the board, then you can start a proper build thread as you work and get the car sorted. plenty of knowledge on this board, and people willing to help.

Welcome!!! That's a car to hold onto and the cherish. Cars and deals like that are very hard to come by. Would love to see a build thread on the car in the 1st Gen Builds Section! Can't wait to see how this turns out!
