Not new to the the Rotary Rodeo by any means, but I am new to the 2nd Generation of the RX7 family.
I scored this 1987 FC S4 Sport from my family Doctor that got it from one of his clients, that is the original owner, it has 110k miles on it and is bone stock.
It unfortunately had two ownerships fails here, one is that it wasn't driven in over a year before I purchased it, and two, although he took really good care of it, it needs a lot of little TLC items done to it, to bring it back to it's fun driving life again, although currently I am driving it daily to work.
Like I said this isn't my first 7, I had two 1st Gen GSL-SE's waaaaay back in the day, one pretty modified, and the other bone stock, and I absolutely loved them.
User name: 7's and 9's well this can easily be summed up by saying RX7 and 9's being noted as Porsche's, being a 928 and a 957, there have been a few other such as a couple of 944's and a 951.
This is the short and nasty of it, so as not to bore you to death.
I'll add some pictures for your enjoyment...................

That's a beautiful collection you have!! That Sport appears to be in awesome shape! Would love to see more pictures of the car! I'm also a Porsche fan!! Is your 928 a Weissach package?
It really is a pretty clean little car for it's age and mileage, and Thank you again, I've always wanted a 928 and then I found this one.

Thank you, it became fine time to switch directions to my real love for Porsche's after almost 30 something years of doing Mustangs, It's a long story, I'll save that for one day when we have more beer and time on our hands, LOL
I picked up the RX7 two weeks ago tomorrow, and between work and some adulting, I really haven't had time to take a bunch of picture although I should, so I can document all the repairs and clean up needed, it's really not all that bad, but it does need some clean up under the hood, and somethings fixed/replaced in the interior, but over all it's really is a nice ground zero to start with.
As for the 928, it's actually an 1981 928 CE (Competition Edition) it's everything the European "S" has (Bilstien coil overs, "S" air dam and rear spoiler, sport seats, 16" wheels) but without the 300hp engine, this one is the NAR 229hp engine, BUT it is a 5spd car, a buddy in the Dallas area has two Weissach, which are 1982 only, with the luggage, BTW have you seen how much the luggage goes for?? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!
The Cayenne GTS is the only vehicle with an automatic/Tiptronic in the fleet, it does all the heavy hauling (7716 tow rating) since the old Powerstroke was sold, it actually is the most versatile vehicle I have ever seen, it can go from work horse, towing the race car or lumber, to lifted and fully locked 4wd to lowered corner carving sports car, or regular dinner date/valet parking date night, to business meeting take out the directors for lunch, and back it in the corner, mash the gas step out the rear end hoon track toy with a few simple push of a couple of buttons, not to forget embarrass a few Mustangs on the way back from the grocery store, and it makes a really cool noise too boot.
I do have another truck for the dirty duties, and I wouldn't want to fill the Cayenne up with a bunch of pavers, scrap metal, bags of concrete, dirt, or any of the silly work I have going on around the property, for that I have a vintage, nicely patina 1980 Toyota N40 (long bed) pick up, BTW, the yellow 200k mile Cobalt in the back ground is what I traded key for key to get the RX7
I'll add that I also have had a couple of 994's and a 951, and running 944 SPEC is here in the very near future.

Here's a couple of shots if the inside the day I took delivery of the car, Ihave since fixed the lower speaker panel and tucked away the speaker wires, it camecwith an Alpine CD head unit, Boston Acoustics 2 way component speakers in the front, Boston Acoustic 2 ways in the back, an amp in the passenger stowage bin. and a sub in the rear, unfortunately the center bezel is cracked and will have to be replaced and the driver's demister vent is missing, the driver's seat has a spot that needs to be sewn up till i can figure out ehat to do, and i did buy some floor mats to protect the carpet that's in really nice shape.
The interior of that RX7 is in exceptional shape!! The car has certainly been very well cared for!!
Glad to hear your 928 is a 5spd. Most every one you see have an automatic transmission. It's a car that's on my bucket list to own. The matching luggage is an ultra rare accessory and most people never part with the set. I have seen a couple sets and some pieces come up for sale over the years and the prices are downright staggering.
I've owned several 944's over the years and I'm currently restoring an 85.2 in Guards Red. The car has a 5spd transmission, M456 sport suspension, Fuchs wheels, and an all cloth Porsche script interior. It's a truly great car that still needs love. But its next to my 10AE in the garage with a box of parts waiting for it!
