Welcome to the forum!! I would also love to see pictures of the car! Was the car in the showroom or on the lot? Or did you order the car and have to wait? Did you have a good experience when buying the car?

Howdy!

Been having some trouble navigating this... it says auto saved, but when i try to come back to it, cant' find it. oh well
I bought the rx7 in Nov '82 to celebrate my first full year at a real job, instead of a freelance musician in Austin, Texas.
Colors/interiors were limited, as was general availability. I decided I wanted the Toronado Silver (charcoal) but most of them had the maroon interior,
which didn't appeal to me. There were two in central Texas with black interiors, one in San Antonio and one in Austin. No discount from anyone, list was $12,000 as I recall.
The one in Austin was the S model, which I've since added some of the nice things that came with the GS, like the electric rear hatch release/cargo space light and the left foot rest. I did as much of the work as I could on it, but without a lift...you're limited. As I said, it's been through a few fender benders and two engine rebuilds, but it's always been reliable. Full Disclosure here, I'd like to find a new home for my old friend while he's still in good shape. Pushing 70 now ,on a fixed income and with all the growth in central Texas, there's not much room to have fun with him anymore.

Yes, the lights still go up and down!

Replace the tail light lenses about 10 years ago. Still have the old ones!

Original quartz clock still keeps good time!

Last time I had the seats done, I told him I never want to do it again! So he used extra heavy cloth and vinyl, and there's still good!

No Emissions or converter. Just a/c for central Texas. Lots of original parts in the shed.

This is a great looking car. Have you given any thought on pricing?

Thanks, I've tried to take care of it! I'm thinking in the $5k-$7k range. Got a lot of extra parts, as well.
