CO hiya guys and gals! possible futre rotory owner here

Hi all. I'm brent from the big ol CO. Eighteen year old who really likes the rotary engine but drives a 1993 camaro z28. She's my baby lol. I'm looking at getting a second car this time a rotary for drifting and modding (and driving when my camaro is under for repairs and maitenance). I love the fd's looks, but the price tag isn't my favorite. But I could always get a loan for one if they're that much better for drifting. I like the price and numbers and stock lines of an fc, and would love to drift one and try to design and fabricate my own widebody kit for one since I wanna be a customs and performance mechanic. And I love the looks of the rx8 but I hear its heavy and has crap for power with a similar price tag to an fd. If this is the best spot for me to get opinions on which is a good option for me then any advice/opinions are appreciated. If not can someone point me where I can ask this question? Haha. =) look forward to officially owning a rotary here in the future.

Brent, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome to RX-7 Club. Asking for opinions on this website will definitely get a flood of answers, the first being don't get a loan to buy an older car that's never going to be an "investment" car. Especially if you plan on drifting it.

The purchase price is just the beginning simply because of the age of these cars. More money will have to flow after the purchase depending on what kind of shape the car is in.
