Hi I'm new and I'm here to mess with Fendamonkey

Yes, that's right, I too am a forum *****. But I'm here to keep up to date on what Levi (aka Fendamonkey) has been trying to do to his RX7. I figured this was easiest.

But I like to break cars too. I am the former owner of a 2003 Civic that was putting down just under 400whp to it's one drivewheel (open differential FTL) until I had a horsepower side effect when the MAP sensor blew out of the intake mani at 18psi and around 7K on the fun gauge. Rebuilt the head, re-ringed the pistons and re-honed the bores, couldn't get it to run right again. So I parted the entire car out, cut it up, and sold it for scrap.

See? A Honda Civic fits in the back of a Nissan pickup.

Time for a new project. I picked up a 1966 Volvo Amazon that was mint. It comes with an inline, pushrod 4-banger. Yeah, that's coming out soon and I'm going to shoehorn a an L98 350 in it from a '90 Corvette with the matching 6-speed ZF tranny. Good times. I'm tired of tuning OBD-2 and SOHC 4-cylinder motors, so she's getting a carb. I'm undecided about whether I'm going to stroke the motor to a 383 or just do a 355 build on it. The car is wicked light (2400 pounds in stock form) so I may just do the 355 so I don't have a fiery death at the end of some corner. We'll see.

I'm excited. Even in the 35-degree rain.

I love this little car.

Dual carbs on a 4-cylinder. No thanks. Carburetor is French for "Don't **** with it."

My bad, I figured the forum would resize it automatically. In regards to the stay out of trouble bit, no worries there. I'm 32 and a bit past starting e-fights. Levi and I go back a little bit and I like keeping up to date on the mods he does to his 7.

No problem, I just wanted to snuff out anything for other readers who may have gotten ideas from your thread title.

Cool beans. Fixed the sig. Down to 20K now.

Here are some old pics of the Honda's setup. I kind of miss the boost, but I'm glad the car is gone.
