Hi, I'm James from Seattle
I just bought a '79 Rx7 GS. I owned a 1981 Rx7 back in the late 1990's and deeply regretted getting rid of it for a 2nd gen Rx7 (can't remember what year, 87? 89?) ever since. When the seat on my Mercedes diesel fell through the floorboards I went shopping for another car and this one came up. When I went down to Olympia to see it, I had to buy it.
I'm a landscape contractor so I have an old diesel GMC, too. Also, I've been a motorcyclist since I was a teenager and I have a BMW right now that I'm procrastinating on doing an engine swap on. I'm a somewhat experienced mechanic in gas, diesel, small engine and automotive. My car interests have always been varied but I'm excited to be back in the rotary fold. My hobbies are cooking, reading, gardening, tame stuff.

Welcome James from Seattle
Your '79 must be a gas! The first one I ever drove was either a '78 or a '79. The first one I owned was a gray '82 GS. I loved it but had to trade for a 13B first generation -- an '84 GSL-SE. Great cars. I never fell for the 2d generation, although I was very tempted by the 3rd generation. Welcome aboard.
