thanks bud. i'm the fourth owner. here is what po told me. first owner bought it, and then a week later traded it in for something fast. second owner was 79 when he sold it to third owner, and sold it because getting in and out is too physically painful for the guy. second owner was a rotary afficando (sp?), and owned a lot of rotary powered cars in his day, but this was his prized possession. third owner owns a window tinting business, tinted the windows, and had race car plans. but his landlord called him, and said she's ready to sell the house. he sold this, for more down payment monies. a folder of paperwork for the car was included with the sale, which i've been meaning to go through. but a pile of rotary rocket magazines was also included and i've been enjoying the magazines and ignoring priorities.

to the response about the car color, agreed, man. it's by far my favorite color i've ever seen a car coated in. in this region, i've seen a bunch of sapphire blue fc's rotting in fields, rusted, clear coat faded, shitboxes over the years. even in states of disrepair it's always been such a beautiful color, to me. held out for about eight months waiting for a decent one in this color to get listed for sale, and lucked out big time.

relieved to see this forum is still online, and still used. thanks for the welcomes.

oh yeah, one more thing. i'll post a reply with picture tomorrow, if i remember. this car came with a funky rx7 club keychain. is that linked to the forum? or is that some pre social internet car club?
