Welcome!! Sounds like a fun project! Do you have any pictures of the car to share?

Thanks.ive only had the car a couple months.i found it in downtown LA.a guy inherited his dad's property's and was a car collector.the son was selling all the junk cars for almost scrap.i got this one for $300 and there are some parts on it worth more than I paid.there was a 90's Subaru wagon right next to the squareback for $150! And it ran.i think the dad was thinking subaru swap.i didnt have room for both cars, plus I already had the rotary in mind.i traded 2 guitars to my old boss for the mazda.he said the car was running and it only had 50,000 miles on it.he included the adapter, carb & other stuff in the trade.
The car is the autostick,so I've been buying parts to convert it to manual.i pretty much have everything to do the conversion now.ive spent $700 total on the car and parts.the engine & parts was a trade so I'm not counting that.

I'd say you are ahead of the curve on this project thus far. The price was right for everything you purchased. The Subaru would have been a fun project but I like where you're going with this one!
