Hey, I'm Chad!
Hey all,
I have been an Rx7 fan since I was in high school, back in the early 90s (shudders!). I got my first 7, a beautiful blue 86 non turbo. Even for as many pain in the butt problems I had with the car, I had even more wonderful times (as well as tickets haha). I loved it more than any other car I would come to own after. Sadly, the car is no longer with us.
Anyway, flashing forward, I am currently seeking another FC. I want to gain the knowledge needed to keep a finicky rotary engine running right. I want to obtain a second engine that I can learn how to rebuild and replace. I don't know if I want to go turbo or not, I am thinking simplicity will win out here.
I guess that is enough for now. Bring on the knowledge!!

Well good luck searching, they come along in the classifieds often. As far as turbo vs na look at it like any other modification. Can u afford to go turbo and all the extra maintenance that will go along with it, is a turbo the way you want to go with the car? If a turbo IS what u want I would recommend getting a turboII and save a lot of time and money.

And as far as the whole turbo/NA thing goes, maintenance is definitely a concern. I love nothing more than the sound of a turbo spooling up, or a blowoff valve getting rid of off throttle boost, I surely don't want money to be a factor depleting from my fun :P. Besides, I had just enough with my previous non boosted car anyway. Since I am a bit older now, I don't have the need for big horsepower. I just really miss that sound of a rotary winding up the tach. No other sound like it!
