Hey guys, im new
My names Curtis and until now all ive really been interested in were lifted trucks and hondas. I currently have a 99 integra but am looking to get an 83 rx-7. The guy said that the body work is 95% complete (needs paint) and he has about $4000 in it. It runs and drives but needs a battery and tires. It comes with an extra set of seats and door panels, an extra complete "running" 12a engine and tranny with 64k miles on it, another tranny, another a tore down blown 12a and an extra rear end. He said that all the brakes, wheel bearings, and struts are all new. Hes asking $1600 for it, what do you guys think? Im going to look at it today and i told him that i have an 03 yz 125 dirtbike that im looking to get rid of and he said he might do a straight trade. The interior looked to be in pretty good shape and there is 106k miles on the car/engine/tranny. What do you guys/gals think and what should i look for? Thank you so much!

Well Sounds Nice But also Sounds like a lot of work... I wouldn't Drive it Till I had the motor Rebuilt .. Rough 800-1300 Labor plus parts... Rest of the car sounds like a big project.. May be better to find something cleaner for a little more money since this is your first Rx7. Rotary's are TOTALLY Different then any other engine. However if you plan on having someone rebuild it and you know how to do body work.. Go For it man, Does sound like a fun project

well i went and looked at the car, its in great shape! i sat in it, pulled the choke, turned the key, and she started right up. It even idled good! The body was flawless (other than it being in pieces) and the interior wasnt even that bad. Im already in love and i didnt even pick it up yet! Ive been looking on this site and some others for some ideas just to get it together and running great before I decide to do anything to it. This is a great site!
