hey guys, from australia.

hi everybody!

my name is shane. i recently purchased an fc as a new drift project and it immediately has given me a headache. the car came without a radiator as the top tank had ruptured. so we bought a new all aluminium rad, threw in some coolant, and started it up. this led to the cooling system pressurising and some nice white smoke from the exhaust.

so the plan is to rebuild the whole car from the ground up, do all the fabrication at our garage, and get her ready for some comp rounds in 2013.
i read buckey's and usdrfter's build threads and have gained alot of inspiration from them.

oh, and i am a proud s13 owner also.......

see you on the boards!

Welcome to the site, Shane!

Sounds like a good project. Be sure to post some pics.

Are you planning to cage it and run it in the amateur series? or just a weekend track car?

well after much deliberation and discussion i have decided not to cut the fc up for a comp car. my s13 already has a tubbed front end, so it makes more sense to take it off the road then the fc. i will still be doing a ground up build though, just not as extreme. i guess it would just be silly to not do some weekend skids in it!

i will keep you updated on my s13 also, as it will be running a 20b. i know yall like to hate on the s13, but they are a good solid chassis that has been proven time and time again. and its cheap to reshell lol.
i am from brisbane, qld. probably start off in level 2, as pro is invite only.

thanks for the welcome everyone!
