Hey everyone! Miata owner, RX-7 lover.
I'm sure there are a TON of us here, right?
I autocross my Miata & used to daily drive it for years. Someday hope to save up my $$$ & get an FD.

Ok, we've established your name is Fred, you're a little off your rocker but have admirable goals. So now, how about a little story on WHY you want an FD and HOW is it you've fallen in love with the rotary...?

Whoa! I assumed that 'auto subscribe' would've been turned on! Had no clue I was getting replies to this thread. . .
Name is actually Dan, not Fred. Fred Koser is a fictional 'Evil Villian' type character that my friends & I came up with in high school. Its a long story though, and the more I tell, the off my rocker I sound.
I've actually worked on rotary powered cars for a number of years & know FDs quite well. FDs have made me weak in the knees since I saw my first one, a CYM R1, at Road America when I was ~13yrs old & they were brand new. I remember it sitting, perfect & glowing, on top of a grassy hill. It had a 360degree crowd of gawkers who were ignoring the race & all the other exotics present that day. I still feel its probably the most beautiful car ever to come out of Japan.
No current info on my Miata. I used to be very active in my local club(s) and autocrossing, but I've got a family, a band & a job that keep me pretty busy. Sadly, the Miata has become my 'sunny day' car and mostly lives in the car port.
