Scoobarific

Hello, my name is Collin. I am 26 years old, and just recently purchased my second RX-7. Both have been red, non-turbo fc's. My first one was purchased at an auction when I was 16 for $1100. My first car. Oh man was that car a headache. Best headache I ever had though. I got maybe a total of six months out of that car. My Dad and I put another $1000 into it after about three months, just to have it need more work another three months later. We were beginning to restore it, and decided to abort mission. Ever since then, I have wanted another one so bad. I almost bought a beastly '79, but when my old man talked to the guy I was buying it from, he simply said "not under my roof". My Dad didn't want me having a car that fast while I still lived in his house, or so he said. I think he was just scared of another rotary in his garage. Anyways, I just bought a base model 87 red fc from my girlfriend's father for $1000. Score! The odometer says 185k, but the motor was rebuilt less than 20k ago. It's in need of some TLC, but a great platform. Oh man I'm so happy to be back behind the wheel of one of these precious machines. I will be on the hunt for another one in the not too distant future. I have thought about a rhd, but that depends on the deal I find when the time comes. Well, I look forward to learning from all of you. Peace
