G'Day Fellow Wankels - I just signed up after already finding out how to mod my Nikki. THIS SITE LOOKS AWESOME USEFUL!!! Thanks to whoever maintains it. I recently bought an '85 GSL 12A with only 72K that is in truly mint condition, but it has throttle and/or ignition issues - no torque from idle, lots of engine lash on deaccelaration, no power. I suspect an ignitor module, and carb gum as it sat for 5 years and the fuel was varnish. This is my 4th 1st gen and the nicest one I've owned. 1st one w/Power Steering, though - wtf? Who needs it?

I agree a first gen with power steering is not really necessary.. but try getting in a 2nd gen without it you will hate life fast.
