Hey all

Hi guys, let me just start by saying without this forum i would never have been able to complete my engine swap even though i wasnt a member at the time of the last 4 weeks i have been constantly on this site looking for answers to my problems.

Im Ali i have bought my self an FD RX7 Series 6, i have installed a series 8 motor with series 8 harness sensors etc, it has taken me weeks to do so and while doing this i was rewiring another FD series 6 for a friend as his buliding it as a show car so int the sense of wiring i know the car back to front i have hidden evey wire in the bay for him making up new harnesses and changing locations of wire entry points etc. now im trying to post in the technical section however its not allowing me for some reason i have a major issue with my fd and cant work it out.

i finally got the car started for the first time, it wont rev over 3-4000 rpm if i flaten my foot on the accelerator however if i slowly accelerate it will rev to 7 no issues

when i flaten foot it kinda cuts out then followed by a back fire of which made my neighbours dog jump the fence and leg it up the street, also made my mum jump off the toilet, hahahahahhaha

now i think it is a blocked cat but not 100% sure till i pull it out another thing i need to know how to bleed the water system correctly

now spec of the car its all standard nothing modded on it has a muffler on the back not full exhaust other than that factory standard.

could some one please help me with this

much appreciated guys and thanks so much forf the help in the past weeks even though yous didnt even know you were helping me
