Hi gang, my name is Jerry. My brother in law is the proud original owner of an '84 RX-7 1.3 FI car with 66k on the clock. I am a certified ASE (piston engine) tech. trying to help him out. After a long storage, I got it running for him. Drained the varnish out of the gas tank new gas ,filter and a new pump. Runs great!!!! 2 problems, here is where I need your help. First. The Carter replacement pump is Deafiningly LOUD and the hates it. I need an OEM pump. I can't find one. Second, The fuel tak seems to build excessive pressure. I'm thinging it's not normal for so much pressure released when the gas cap is removed. I'm a vintage Buick guy. The Buick Forum is a great place for help. So I thought I would turn to this forum for help with Glenn's car. Thanks!!
