Hello from WI
Ive owned several 240sx and a corolla in the past and am looking at building an fc to be different. Ive been reading through the forum and am learning a lot of great things about the rx7. Im looking forward to starting my build soon!

Id like to go the turbo route. Im probably going to start with a 13bt and move into an re motor but due to cost ill stick with the tII motors to start. Im expecting to go through the learning stages but am looking forward to building one of these beasts. On another note a buddy of mine pick up and fd and is going ls1 and has a ton of re parts that would make that swap a lot more "affordable". Things like single turbo and manifold, v mount set up( for fd) and a bunch of ported rotors and housings so im up in the air. My biggest problem is finding the right car to start with. Here 240s are the norm and are getting boring. I loved my corolla but id have a better chance of getting an organ transplant before getting ahold of a good one of those again. Im leaning towards an n/a swap but unlike a lot kids that start ive already built and raced a lot of cars. Im thinking of going custom harness, standalone, etc when i do my build. Weve done this with many 240s and theyve turned out well. I have a couple leads on some 86-87 gxl's shells that i could start with? What do you think of these? Ive read a ton of info on the faults of the n/a durability compared to the tII cars but arnt the GXL cars similar in the sense they have the 5 lug and rear diff? Ill do some more searching but i havent been able to locate this yet.
