Hello from the UK!

Hi all,

Thought I would finally register on here, having been browsing the forum for the past year

My name is Stephen and as you can tell from the title, I'm from Uk. I own a '92 Type R FD which was an import from Japan. It's still running on stock twins but is fast enough for me at the moment...

Thanks
Stephen

Thanks, I really think the photos do the car more justice than it deserves, it's taken a hefty beating from stone chips on the front

I got my clear indicators (the ones on the front wings) from ebay, which is probably your best bet. Off the top of my head I don't know of any other retailers that sell those kind of things in the UK.

Not a huge help I know, but hopefully that will help you in your search.

I'm checking Ebay every day, there is a dealer but says that international buyers have to contact him, then he didn't answer to my mail...

Thanks, man, I'll be in UK at the beginning of march to (finally!!!) take my FD... Maybe we cross along the highway!!!

There do seem to be a fair few rx7's over in Ireland. Good luck with the car man, hopefully it brings you as much enjoyment as mine has for me (but with less of the pain :P )

Engine chipped an apex seal after 2months, so I had to get it rebuilt. I'd bought the car because it had proof of a rebuild only two years previous in the UK. The cause ended up being a clogged fuel filter which should have been changed by the previous owner (he assured me it had been done, otherwise I'd have done it myself).

Unfortunately that's the chance you take with these cars, but I still wouldn't swap it for anything else at the moment...

...well, maybe another rx7

Some live in Towcester, believe it or not, and more in Newbury. My grandparents lived in Helmdon, then retired to Abthorpe. As far back as I can remember I would sit outside their house in Abthorpe and listen to the cars at Silverstone.......

Very close then, even Newbury is only 75miles down the road from me and interestingly enough is where I had the engine rebuilt.
