hello from South Dakota
Hey there, I've been a member since 06 when I bought my first 2 rx7s, but never really posted or been active so I figured it might be time for proper introduction.
My name is Kerri and yes I am of the female species, tends to surprise people but I'm hoping one day it won't, because that will mean enough women are wrenching that it won't be a big deal anymore.
I have a bad habit of rescuing vehicles that I believe have no place in a junkyard. A few months ago it was a pristine 1g awd turbo dsm I picked up and fixed the timing issue. Ended up selling it to a shop in NM where it is currently putting down 550hp on my motor
Within the last month picked up an 85 toyota pickup, crawler project... and a beautiful 87 rx7 turbo ll for $300. Catch = everything inside and out is completely disassembled. This is my kind of jigsaw puzzle
I'll get pictures of it and figure out how to post them up on here.
So me and the search button are going to be great friends, even then you will probably see a lot of "what is this part and where does it go?" type of threads.

Kerri, welcome aboard the board! I do have to say while it is still surprising a bit to find women wrenching. It is become much more common as women realize that they can also build an engine, swap out suspension, or do odd ball engine swaps. There are a few women in the MO car scene that do all their own wrenching, one is even a semi-pro drifter with her 240sx and does all her own work!
I work at a diesel shop and we have a 25 year old woman who works on semi-trucks! And she is a prime example that women can do what men do in this field and scene. So I'm glad you're not discourage but encouraged! Like I tell everybody, cars are nothing to be afraid of they are just nuts and bolts!
