Hello everybody,

My name is David Knoll and I'm currently a senior just about to begin starting my senior thesis for Industrial Design at Iowa State University. Why does any of that matter? Simple actually Because for my senior thesis my plan is to research into the failure of the rx7 in 2002, why it might come back now, and basically design a 4th-gen rx7 for sometime this decade.

So, now that you know why I'm here. I'd like to ask a few questions and I'd really appreciate some feedback! Like I said, I'll be doing a good amount of research, I find myself as a designer being one of the rare few that actually try to get a community opinion on something, and that's why I'm here to not only learn but hopefully please you guys! Onto the questions...

1) Do you have any links that you believe would be necessary for something related to this? Such as previous concepts including what you liked/disliked about them, information on the cancellation of the car, rumors of it coming back, etc...

2) What was previously the demographic of the rx7 buyer when it was in production? (gender, age, income, etc)

3) What would you like to see in a new concept, or better yet maybe... not see?

I feel like that's a small but good amount of questions to start with. My senior thesis doesn't officially begin until mid-January but I'm wanting to get a headstart on it, as I'm planning on applying to a graduate program for transportation design and need to be as far ahead as possible!

Nobody?

Even though it's finals week for other classes I've been doing my research for this. Ok, it's procrastination, and I really want to do this project!

Was hoping to gather a little hype and understand the rx7 enthusiasm some more. As I definitely understand automotive enthusiasm but each manufacturer and even car is different.
