CA Hello Rx-7 Club!

My name is Alex and i'm 18 and just got my very first car which happens to be a 1991 Mazda Rx-7 Naturally aspirated. I'm loving my new car. its pretty clean but need a few things here and there.

the previous owner said it has a rebuilt motor thats been ported by mazdatrix with a racing ecu, aftermarket intake, racing beat exhuast, short shifter, sway bar, and a few other things. a few problems that i can name off the top of my head are that it needs new speakers badly, its missing the plastic part for the power windows, it seems that it is burning through alot of oil! i mean like three to four quarts in this past week, although i did run it hard a couple of times, i think thats is an excessive amount.

other than that i am really enjoying owning this vehical being that i already took it through the canyon a couple of times. i am hoping to turn this vehical into a daily driver that i can have fun drifting on the weekends. I live in the San Fernando Valley, just north of LA. The first thing I believe i want to do with the car is get it fully serviced and tuned, so if you have read this far I certainly would appreciate any suggestions as to where i can get that done. I want to build a strong foundation for the car before "suping" it up. thanks

Alex, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club. I don't want to sound like Pops, but that's a whole lotta car for an 18 year old, so always keep a steady head in traffic with a "bullet" like that....and now you want to turbo?

YEE-HAW! I've been collecting parts for a while to do the same thing myself but to the '80 Rotary Performance Big Streetport 12A currently on an engine cart in my garage.

yeah man this thing is a monster in the canyons. i read about how the toe angle changes when you hit a certain amount of g-forces, it grips like no other

Welcome. Nice car too. Have you see pictures of the veilside widebody kit? They have a nice one in the movie Tokyo Drift. And as mentioned before canyon driving is not the best idea.
