ID Hello everyone

Hi, names Joey. I live in Boise, Idaho. It's alright here. I hate the winter! I am here to gain knowledge of my project car. 1986 mazda RX7 GXL. I have a bunch of questions and would appreciate anybodies help. I look forward to coming here for help with my car. It's beat up right now but i am willing to put the work into it to get it in tip top shape. I don't know how to use this site very well yet. but have an important question regarding my wheels. I just got a set of nice rims and tires from a buddy for free. but they are 8 lug rims. my car takes 5 lugs. is there anyway to switch out the 5 lug part for 4 or 8 lugs without spending a ton of money or having to worry about the size and function of the 4 or 8 lug piece? i have about 200 bucks i can throw into parts. thanks for any help at all. -Manbeast

8 lug wheels sounds like 1960's era wide track Pontiac rims. You're talking a LOT of money to make them work on your RX-7. The easiest route is a redrill of your hubs but shops like Strange Engineering or Moser are going to charge a hefty penny because both welding and precision redrilling will be required...but it can be done. Any reason why you're trying to "reinvent the wheel" as it were?

At any rate, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club , Joey!

Howdy. Good luck with the rims. Sounds like a project. Any pics?
