Hello everybody
Not to long ago I bought a 84' Rx7 GS. Its a sweet ride but neeeds work. Im reading alot on this site and learning as well. It's a really cool site. Im glad I found a place that has many people who talk and share advise and experineces they had with their 7's. Im hoping to meet cool people who are into these cars. I am a noob, but hey we all have to start somewhere. Looking forward to learnig a lot about these cars and sink my hands and work on my 7.

My name is Sergio. To tell you the truth I was looking for a car at the time, something a little smaller than my usual driver. (98 Chevy Suburban) Got tired of the gas gusler 
and wanted something smaller, faster. 
. The 7 caught my eye right away. It seemed old but yet still creaming SPEED!! It was cheap, I guess for the year and the condition. It was running but under the hood it looked pretty messy. The engine looked somewhat different than others. The guy I bought it from said it was a rotary. 
I've been reading and learning a lot about rotaries and 7's. Bought the Mazda Work Shop Handbook for the year of my 7 and the Hayne's work shop manual aswell. It needs work but Im happy cause I always wanted a car I could work on myself and learn as I go along. The rotary is also something that grabbed my attention, it seemed different and cool. Sometimes is cool to be different, unique. 
Well, looking forward to getting advise from everyone and maybe and discuss the many things that I am hoping to do on my 7.

Even worse because a big, old long straight six puts more metal in front of the axle. Less room for cooling stuff up front and handling goes South. Pay no heed to the nonsense, Sergio, stick with the Mazda designers' good ideas.

Thanks. Yeah I think ill stick to the Rotary. Ill see how much power ill get out of that Hopefully with no problems it will be up and running in no time.
