Hello

Hi, i had to moved my 87T2 the other day to have some trees trimmed. She has been napping since 2006, so i decided to at least fire her up. That was until my kids (10/12) got interested in it, probably cuz i power washed it and she looked a lot better. So here i am playing what have i missed in the last 14 years. I am the 3rd owner i bought(rescued) it off my cousin who was hit in it in the front right. I had a non turbo years before and was envious when he bought it. I blew the motor and put a fresh rebuilt motor from japan along with all the normal bolts on minus emissions. Tuned the super AFC and she laid out 225 at the wheel (i think) back then. I was turning her over to get some oil thru the omp and she shot out a nest from the exhaust, i them pulled the throttle body off to make sure no one moved in there. Clean out the acorns but noticed oil in the intake so im currently tracing the vaccum lines to make sure i connected them right before adding a catch can. Cant wait til shes purring again. I was building her for autocross until i bought a house, fell in love etc, I lost my wife last year so im finding my way back to the old me.

Welcome! These cars have a way of taking people back to great times in their life and are therapeutic in a way. Do you plan on finishing the car and enjoying it?

Welcome to the forum!

I have to say the change from the first photo to the second made me smile, it must have been a rewarding few hours!

Thanks for also sharing the engine pic, lots of potential there. Excited to see what you do with it 👍

Amazing what a quick power washing does, she dont look to beating up from falling acorns. My dream was an autocross car and rubbing paint with others so hopefully ill get there. Time and money is the issue, for now i just need to get her going and back on the dyno to tune a little more.
