Happy Endings are New Beginnings.

Well,.. needless to say I love RX-7's, and I have wanted to own one for over 6 years... it all started when I was 14, hitting puberty and watching the Fast and the Furious. ( flame away people, flame away.) I got my learners license when I was 14 years old, and I have been driving for over 5 years, I have an immaculate driving record, short a couple parking tickets, and one speeding ticket that was Photo Radar. I usually drove my parents cars, 2007 Acura TL (auto), and a 2002 Nissan Sentra (auto). my personal cars have been:
1993 Nissan S13 (5 spd.)
1997 Honda Civic (Auto)
1990 Acura Integra (5 spd.)
and now finally, I get my 1993 Mazda RX-7.

it wasn't so easy though, brace yourself for my short story of how I've had to fight for this car. needless to say, I love it to bits and pieces, and it means more than anything to me.

I was 17 working at a Fountian Tire as a tire buster, listening to my idiot co-workers banter about how they'd buy Honda Civics and boost them, and make them light weight and do engine swaps ect. ect... me? I knew what I wanted and I was just working to save money. I knew I'd need about $15,000 for a JDM Car. I had a girlfriend who I loved, and still love and miss with all my heart. Life was pretty sweet. I decided to join my comrades to go to the strippers one night, for me it was the first time, and they "needed" me to be the final person to fill the Limo Package they had won.

That night, I met a gentleman by the name of Ross James, who worked at the gentleman's club. He was a friend of a friend, who heard that I liked JDM cars, he told me that he had a Skyline and that he imported cars. I got his phone number, and the next day I was on the phone with him inquiring about the cost of cars, and I found one I liked! he also had a strangely good price, however I was way too happy with the idea of having an RX-7! I talked to my dad about it, and he asked me what I wanted to do. Ross had told me that I needed a $1000 deposit, and the car would be ordered and sent, and he would get the rest of the money when it arrived and I took possession, he gave me receipt, signed it, everything was very professionally done! I was super excited to get this car!!!

the next month, a couple of my co-workers had heard about my "good deal" because I had mentioned that I got a 1992 FD for $4,400 because I knew a guy!
a couple other guys wanted in, so I talked to Ross and he was very happy to get a couple more cars! so 2 more receipts were printed up, signed ect. one individual gave a $3000 deposit, the other a $1000 deposit.

Ross asked me for an additional $1000 to "help customs at the border" after about 2 months waiting, I agreed, and gave it to him, he updated my receipt, and everyone was happy, then 3 months, and no one had their cars,.. and Ross wasn't answering his phone, and had quit his job, and no one knew where he was... I investigated, I went to visit all his old friends who still worked at the Gentleman's club,.. 6 people there all wanted his head for him borrowing money, or stealing from them... I was PISSED. and scared... I went with my dad and my co-workers to go "find" Ross ourselves. we went to his apartment, knocked buzzed, no answer, called no answer, then we drove through the back parking lot, and we see a hooded figure with Ross's shoes, we drive up, he looks, and RUNS. we chased him for 16 city blocks... never caught him. that's the last anyone has seen of him...

My girlfriend is pissed off at me for wasting all that money, and all my friends are pissed at me for ******* them over... I was sad too, I didn't get my dream car... my dad told me that I was an idiot, and he and I had a rocky relationship for a while...

at this point, I figure I'm NEVER going to get an RX-7, so I just work. one day I hear about a website called www.Japan-Partner.com. to my amazement, I find the exact car that I was being "sold" by Ross on this site! and it's still avaliable!!!
I emailed immediately! and soon I got a phone call from a man named Dean Cadre from Japan Partner (JP for short, k?) this was a great little car, all stock, 52,000 KM, T-Timer, and a Boost Gauge! being sold for $7,200 shipped to Vancouver. I talked to Dean and asked if he could help me get a better price on that car after hearing my story. he offered me $6,800 and fresh paint!.

I talked to my dad, and he was extremely skeptical. ****, what do I do!?
so I wrote up a contract with my dad. if he helped me out again, I'd quit smoking, save money to go back to school to be a better mechanic, and a few other "personal" things I'd prefer not to mention.

I called Dean the night my dad was ready, to find out, my dream car had been sold 3 days ago, and the website wasn't updated... I was almost in tears on the phone with Dean, yet again having my hopes smashed. Dean told me that I could find another car on the Auctions, so, I got a password to a website, and started to learn VERY fast about what was "good" and what wasn't "Good" after looking for 1 month, I found the perfect car.

Dean advised me to bid $4,000 for it. but, I wanted to car, so I wanted to go another 10%, $4,400 was my "max bid". to my amazement, I WON! I HAD MY CAR! HOLY MOLY! I was ecstatic for 3 days! now I had to wait for it to be shipped. it took 3 months from me owning the car, and it being on JP's lot, to get it to my City. currently I'm waiting for the OPI, Out of Province Inspection to be completed...

I'm now 19.5 with an RX-7. I'm single, and I miss my love.
her name is Kelsey, I miss her everyday.
my car is dedicated to her.
maybe when it's done, I'll tell you all why I did what I did with my car.

I hope you all enjoyed my story.
my name is Evan, I'm a Mechanic, and I love FD's, and all Rotarys.

Cheers. and remember!
if you can't say anything nice, say something funny!
