Greetings RX-7 Lovers
I was always fascinated with Mazdas since my neighbor got an RX-3 when I was a kid. I thought those half-circle tail lights were very cool. Later, a friend got a black Cosmo, and I was further intrigued. Then the Rx-7s came out and that was it. Best car ever as far as I was concerned. It took me a few years but I finally got it together to get my '85 GSL-SE. I've driven it for 22 years. Love it!
whohohoho!!! Another Nor Cal member!! Welcome to the club! There is a meet tomorrow in Fremont you should go!!! We need for first gens and well it's always nice to meet another female car lover!! Head over to the west section!
Thanks, Damzil, I read about the BBQ but unfortunately have an out-of-town guest here. Thanks for the invitation and I maybe will catch up with you guys another time. I'm actually looking to sell the car, though, so I'm probably missing a golden opportunity!
if you think about it though, going to a meet and having rx7 enthusiasts look at your car will be a great way to sell it to people who will truly be interested and will take care of it. Sorry you can't make it out this weekend, but maybe another time.

Rotorsport is a Mazda shop that specializes in rotories and mazda cars. It is located in Santa Clara, and I occasionally hang out at the smog shop that shares the lot. There was a lady there yesterday is an FB, so I wondered if it was you. I figured it'd be a really long drive, but rotorsport is the best, so maybe.
Aha, sounds like a good resource for an RX-7 owner. Ya, that would be a long drive for me. I have a mechanic in SF who used to work for Mazda in Tokyo, he worked on the RX-1. He's a good guy and always has RX-7s in various states of repair in the back of his shop.
So how was the BBQ today? Did you all have a good time? The weather was finally really nice here in the City. I imagine it was nice and warm in Fremont.

The BBQ was really nice, we had to move spots because there was a huge soccer tournament at our original spot. Lots of 2nd gens, a few 1st gens, one 3rd gen, and a few none rotary cars. There are a few pics posted, but I know there will be more to come.
