MO Greetings from Missouri

Hello everyone,

My name is Richard. My friends call me Chard, Chardizard, or Reaper. I do not like to be called Dick (common nickname for Richard) or Richy. I'll begin by being honest, I used to love Honda's. Yes, I know. Horrid. Despicable. Would you like to know something worse. Someone traded my old '96 Honda Civic DX for a 1990 RX7. Ew! Why would he do that? These are some questions that may be going through your head right now. Anyways, regardless, this is about you guys getting to know me.

My name is Richard. I am 20 years old and attending college for a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy. I like helping people, so expect me to be quick to the gun on sharing my knowledge with you all. I am very technologically savvy. Though, sometimes, I may be wrong. I do not know a whole lot about rotary motors, that's why I'm here. So I can learn from you all. I do tend to joke a lot, so if any of my jokes offend you, or I get to be too much, just let me know and I will stop with my antics.

That's a bit about me. Now about the auto.

I have a 1990 Mazda RX7. I am unsure on what the submodel is. The gentleman did not care to tell me and I simply forgot to ask. I was too excited to ask, ok? Is that what you wanted to hear? Anyways, the car is completely bone stock, except for the muffler. It has a 5 speed manual transmission. The car is flat black for now. I have thoughts on what color I should paint it, but I am still at a stand still between black or a dark red type color. The chassis has 170K miles on it. While the engine has 57K. A steal? I know!

Anywhoot, if you have any questions regarding more information about me or the car, just send me a PM. I'll be glad to answer.

Hi mate, I'm new too. I haven't made the leap from Honda to Rx7 yet but would love to hear the thoughts of someone who has. It sounds like you are happy with your end of the deal.

Yes, I am more than happy. The sound, the feel, and the overall joy I get is most satisfying. My love for "7"s came about a few years ago. A buddy of mine purchased a FC3S "7" convertible when we were juniors in high school. Anytime I rode in that car I was exuberant. He let me drive it one day and my god, I was hooked. The only problem he had was a rear end mount that kept breaking. It was like he had to replace it every other week. I am unsure of what kept causing the problem. It even broke a polyurethane mount that he sourced up and installed. Ridiculous. I think it was because he had a lead foot and decided to try and drift every corner he could.

So, without a doubt, the "7" has been my dream car for awhile. As stated in my intro, the "7" OEM stance is crazy aggressive, and I love it. The body kits I've been looking at are amazingly clean and give the car just the right amount of aggression and appeal. To me, it's as if I'm staring at a gladiator, no homo. Just right on the verge of god-like. The body is pristine with power and speed behind it to make it, well, AMAZING.
