Talking Greetings from Germany

Wow! Great forum!

I have already found lots of infos for my next project.
I plan on running an RX-7 (79-80) in the 2010 Rallye Monte Carlo Historic.

The RX-7 is elegible because in 1979 a single RX-7 was entered by a japanese Team.

So I have been checking which parts interchange from the later models and what modifications make sense.

By the rules we are strictly limited to a 79-80 Body, with a little more leeways on drivetrain and brakes.

The ideal setup would be using an early body, with later suspension & brakes and a later motor but still carbed.

Most important part probably is a good LSD for the rear. Torsen sounds nice - but I really like the old detroit locker.

Anyways I still have a lot of reading to do ..

Anyone else rallying their RX-7 ?

Hajime NAKAGAWA will drive the Historic Monte Carlo Rallye 2009

Mr. NAKAGAWA was the first and only RX-7 entry in the 1979 Rallye Monte Carlo.

That event was the debut of the Rallye RX-7 in international competition

It finished first in Group 2

I am really looking forward to meet him.

I will post pictures - promised
