Greetings from Austin TX

Hello!

I’ve been a member on this site many moons ago, but have no idea what my login credentials or emails used was. Time to start a new!

Anyway, I have a ‘93 Rx7 that I bought about 13 years ago with the intentions of swapping out the drivetrain which I did about 12 years ago.

Right now I’m in the middle of a new paint job that I’m attempting for the first time. Never painted a car before! Lots of work! Going with a matte white with some black accents. Should look pretty sharp.

Anyway, just shooting in a quick hello!

Not too sure on my last usernames. I think one was Broken Wankel and I think I had another as Rx7dood. Was never a particularly active member though. Never made a build thread. Also never documented my build lol. So that thread will never happen.

It’s been incredibly reliable. Only real issue I’ve had was a coupling break off the jerry rigged clutch piston. I have trouble starting her up too so I messed something up in the fuel delivery department. Runs smooth once started though!

Started life as a beat up neglected base automatic. No longer has the rotary, but she’s definitely living a better life now than before. Trying to get back into autox and such. I used to do it all the time in Ohio before moving to Texas.

I autocrossed in the Columbus area with the Ohio Valley Region SCCA back in 2007-08.

A lot of fun and I certainly miss it. Not a lot of that kind of stuff here in Austin.

Thing that sucks the most about moving down here though is that when I built my car in Ohio, I didn’t need AC. Never bothered to put it in. Definitely regret that decision now lol.
