Getting down with the Rotary!

Kinda new to the Rotary scene. I get the concept down pretty good and how everything works, but I'll still have questions.... I'm trying to put a 13B non-turbo in my 56 VW Bug. Something like this...... Just no rust.

And I'm gonna use a kennedy conversion kit to mount the rotary up to my transaxle..

Also if I have a 4port 13B does it have to run a turbo in order to run correctly? Because I know the 6port is a non-turbo and the 4port is a turbo.

Secondly, has anyone bought an engine from this guy, and if so how good of a job does he do?

If you install a 4 port stock 13B it will run fine just be lower on power then a 6 port because it has lower compression.

That person does a decent job on rebuilds, they are not the best but it gets the job done.

Hey Dubz,

Wow! My best friend and partner in mechanical crime is a vintage VW mechanic with 30+ years experience. If you have any questions ask me and I'll pass them on. Really caught me off guard with this post as I always joked with him about putting a roto power plant in an old bug or sand rail. In fact we have a VW sand rail in my garage now we just refurbished. I can't wait to show him these pics. Now I've got to convince him to convert our sand rail instead of selling it.

Links below, to pics didn't work.

What's the overall weight of the Rotary motor?

I bet that will make a very fun car once it's on the road!
