I just bought my first RX7 two days ago with the intention of getting it running, polishing it up a bit and then who knows? Its nothing special, just an '87 non-turbo with a manual gearbox and no, it doesn't run. Hopefully it will soon.

This is the first rotary car I have owned, though i'm not totally dumb when it comes to these engines. I have worked for Formula Mazda teams for nearly 7 years now. Most of my experience is with the renesis motors however and the fact that those are bare bones race motors that are stripped down make the stock motors look a bit confusing.

So thats why im here....To study pictures and ask questions.

I live in Ft Worth, and working on cars and race cars is about all I do for the exception of bartending a few nights a week.

In the Metroplez, we have a rotary meet the first Saturday of each month (unless it's a major Holiday or a racing event in the area) in Dallas in the Cheddar's parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 635 and MacArthur Blvd. Just like on this website, the 2ndgen RX-7 is the most seen RX-7 at our meets. There's a whole bunch of knowledge and help to be found.

Thanks guys. I live in apartments right at I-30 and Bryant Irvin road. Just got moved in thus weekend actually.
I have been car chief / lead mechanic / suspension setup guy for a while now.

Im buying a 87 fc also, non turbo but manual

Unlike you im a complete moron with engines, so i plan to learn a bit.

Hopfully it will work out for both of us, although im sure youll do fine sence you come from a racing background.
