First time owner
Hey rx7club,
I've always loved RX-7's and have wanted one for the better part of my adult life but could never justify a second vehicle. I've had other cars that were fun, but they were also my daily so there was always a sense of fear of doing too much to them (I can't pull my engine out if I have to drive to work tomorrow).
I remember my dad's best friend had a first gen RX-7 when I was in my teens and he would drive me around in it when we went on vacations and it was always something I was looking forward to. Fast forward 25 years, I've been looking for an FC3S to call my own for the better part of 2021. Almost pulled the trigger a few times, even had a flight book to go out if state last week to go buy one but things came up with the seller making me feel uncomfortable so I canceled. The next day, one popped up for sale locally, I was able to go see it and buy it so I am now the proud owner of a 1991 NA RX-7 that is bone stock except for BC coilovers.
Surprisingly, everything on it works (for now) and other than a few small dents and scratches it is clean.
I look forward to breaking things with you guys!

As far as history, I know the car was bought new in PA in summer 1991, then was in MO from 1999 to 2021. The person I bought it from bought it back in February and drove it back to Texas with the intent of building a drift car but felt it was too clean to do that so he decided to sell it to fund his Toyota Tourer V MK2 drift project. (That car was also super clean).
I've worked for Mazda at a dealership level for the last 10 years but couldn't pull history on it, however I found out my system wont go back that far, the glove box still had old receipts from early 90s. My shop foreman here looked it over after I purchased it and said it was in great shape so there's that. I pulled both carfax and autocheck reports and neither have ever had any accidents reported. From what the previous owner tells me, the owner before him barely drove it, it sat in his garage and drove a few miles every now and then just to keep it going.
At some point I'll post pictures of the Mazda museum at the Hiroshima plant, my wife and I were fortunate enough to get a private visit while on vacation in Japan back in 2016 (Knowing some people at Mazda USA had to have some kind of benefits right?), I just have to put them all in a separate folder from my trip pictures.
