First RX7

Hello, Just bought my first RX7 and it's a 1985 with a 12a motor that won't stay running with out the choke pulled. Thought I would join and see what the owners thought my problem mite be and read some info on the car. I am a fair mechanic and ride a Honda ST1300 for fun and have owned many Datsun Z cars over the years but thought a RX would be fun to own.
Thanks
The Dan

I'm sure you have thought about this it sounds like its leaning out, I'd check for vacuum leaks. There is a lot of plumbing on the vacuum system, Some of the lines are probably brittle and need replacing. Having said that to me the Carb on these cars is complex and quite frankly I don't work on mine (and its cost me a lot of money for professional repair). You can get a lot of advice on the car if you stat a "build thread" I've gotten some project saving tips on mine and just a lot of overall support.

Here is my thread: https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...83-gs-1130935/

Thanks for the input, I'll get one started as soon as I get working on a rebuild.
