First tip I can offer is do not daily drive the car unless you have another reliable car to drive when something fails on the RX-7. Its inevitable that something will fail and need repair as the car is 32 years old. You do not want to leave yourself stranded or rushing a repair and making a mistake and making an issue worse.
The second tip I will offer is to keep up on regular maintenance such as oil changes, coolant exchanges, filters, diff and trans oil, spark plugs etc.. You will want to go through the car and ensure everything is up to par and then keep up with a maintenance schedule that you set for your car based on Mazda's recommended maintenance plan.
