Finally joining after 2yrs lurking !

Hey guys my name is Tim.

I have been a general car enthusiast for more than a decade but was introduced to rotaries while stationed in Japan by a good friend on mine. Was taught A LOT about them helping him build his FD time attack car . I currently drive an AE86 that I was planning on doing a 20b swap but am still on the fence about it. Also interested in BMW's, and old chevy's . Love riding 2 stroke dirtbikes to get my "brap" fix . Happy to be a part of the forum now, not just an outsider looking in . Currently living in Birmingham AL, if anybody knows where the autocross/drift days take place around here please let me know ! Thanks again for having me !!

Hey Tim, I used to have a ae86 also are you on club4ag? I just sold it recently to get a fd. I was thinking about doing a f20 swap into my 86 but decided that I would have more fun with turbo.

Yeah, Im on club4ag, are you gonna turbo the 4A ? if so what are you gonna do about a transmission because a T50 is about as strong as a matchstick !! I think Im going to have to go SR20 due to budget , I just moved back to the states (Air Force) from Japan and took a HUGE pay cut so 20B I just cant swing the cash for all the FAB work needed ..

My corolla was already turbo I swapped in a ae101 4agze engine rebuilt it and threw a turbo and stand alone in it. I recently sold my 86 so now I'm looking for a FD to play with.
