TN Finally got my dream car, 1993 FD Touring

Hey guys,

I've been a Rx-7 lover since I've been 13, and I've always been fascinated by the rotary motor. I told myself that one day I'd upgrade from driving turbocharged hondas, and beaters to a 3rd gen Rx-7. I am now 23, and just recently graduated from College as an Engineering student and decided to get myself a graduation present. about 3 months ago I came across this 1993 rolling chasis with 58K miles on it, but someone bought it before I could sell one of my hondas. Needless to say I was crushed. much to my surprise, the guy who purchased it called me last night and told me he didn't have the time to fix it b/c he's rebuilding his Supra. So I went down to his house, checked it out, and purchased my 1993 Rx-7 and I've been smiling ever since!

Let me know what you think of it, and if you know of any places to get a JDM motor and trans, I'd be greatly appreciative..

Nice mileage! Looks like the car I just purchased except I got the R1 edition. A good option that you might be able to take is buy a wrecked RX7 that was hit in the rear. The engine and possibly the tranny should be fine. After that it sounds like you will have a perfect car with low mileage. Good luck

Nice man, in high school I worked at a grocery store and my rich buddy got a then new 93' Touring for graduation and I hated him for it. It was always a dream car for me. Congrats!

I've had a couple, 92 Prelude, 99 Prelude, 1993 turbo B20/vtec hatch and a 1999 JSRC B16 hatch.. Just got tired of not being able to get traction..
