Finally got my dream car!!

I just picked my new 85' rx7 gsl-se and I'm soo excited to get started. I've been trying to work on my start issues, so hopefully I'll be on my first cruze in a week! There is so much content here but alot of dead links. Any good recommendations on where to start??

Start posting in the first gen section, lots of knowledge there. Show us some pics, and welcome to the club.

Here she is!!

It definitely has its rough spots but the rust is to a mininum and most of the parts are there.

I got the Carfax for my RX-7 and it looks like it has been under 3 or 4 owners with only 124000 on it. The only odd factor is that it was taken off the road in 2001-2010 which is where I presume it was restored in someone's back yard. It seems it only drove for about a year. Then it was off the road again until basically 2019. They story I got was the previous owner bought the car from an older gentlemen who loved rx-7s but couldn't care for the car anymore. I'm planning on binging this car back up to its former glory, I'm trying to restore it to as original as possible.

Thank you!! Once I saw the color, I knew I had to have one and build it. I wanted an SE but couldnt find one at the time. This one came up and I drove 10 hours away to get it. Ocean Blue was only available in 1985 and was a regional color, meaning that the color was not available in all areas of the country. I have two build threads on it. The link to the first is in the actual build thread:

Well it looks like I'll be following your build thread quite closely lol. After trying to start it last night it just doesn't want to go but we discovered a leak in one of the water jackets. So I figured I might as well start the tear down sooner than later. Hopefully it'll be back together soon but I'll be sure to document the whole process.

Ocean blue for the win!
I've owned my fair share of 7's and I've never been able to get my hands on one of those. Beautiful car. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
