Twin-Turbo Spec

For the last year I've been working with the devil's car himself. A 1997 Suzuki Esteem Gl. The worst car ever made to work on. Well about a month before my wedding my Uncle Shawn gave me his old Mazda Rx-7. Problem is I can't figure out what year it is, so i will be consulting him over it. I know it's a 80's model but i haven't found one quite like it. So when i find out i'll say for sure. I know that my wish is too someday twin turbo it after i have finished rebuilding it.
I am 20 years old. I have been working on cars since i was 18. I don't got the greatest experience but I got a great family and they give me pointers.
When i get some pictures up I'll be sure to bring some attention on the matter. I have gotten it to fire up so it's looking good. I am having problems with the starter. It's not engaging. I pulled it out and tested it, and it passes wonderfully. So next step I got to check is wiring.
Sad to say the first day it fired up we ran over my mom's dog with it. She survived. My view is this car will be my nemesis. I can't wait to get it running and take it for a good spin.
I look forward to anybody who can give me a pointer on the starter. Just a good way to figure my problem.
