NL Chris from NL, Canada

Hi there, im Chris W from Newfoundland, Canada. If it has a engine or wheels theres a good chance i'm into it. Im a carpenter, but have been a gearhead since i was young. I have always wanted a RX7, my first car was a 3rd gen Mazda protege. I spent lots of time tuning and working on that car (which i currently still have tucked away in the garage). First car was the protege, then i bought a chev Avalanche, sold that about two years ago and bought (my current DD) a Ford F150 Ecoboost. I also ride a CBR900RR (acceleration therapy ). I can never leave anything stock, its a dirty word lol.

So yeah, ive always wanted a FD. About a month ago i finally bought one. Its a 93 with a greddy single (TD06H-20G), Apexi avcr and a number of other performance upgrades. I was told it had a "blown motor", but the previous owner really didnt know a big lot about the car. He had brought it to the local mazda dealer, where they said there was no/ or low compression on the rear rotor. That was 2-3 years ago, and it had sat in a garage, untill a month or so ago when i bought it. Turns out that a buddy of mine (who just happens to be the head tech at the local mazda dealership) was the one to look at it when it was in 2-3 years ago.

I had always wanted to do a LS conversion, but when i got home, and really looked at it, i really wanted to keep the rotary. I have always been a fan of "different" engines. So now i have the engine out of the car and stripped to the keg. The plan was for my buddy and i to rebuild the motor and throw it back in...... well it really snowballed... its not in me to do something half-assed...

Ive spent ALOT of time doing research... Im about to send the motor to Adam at RX7 Specialties (rotoryengine.com). Im thinking about doing a street ported, balanced & clearanced low comp rotors, studded motor. replace the TD06H with a GT3582R (T3 flange) ID injectors, all the supporting mods, with a aquamist water/meth kit & rx7 module (just ordered).
Anyway i figured i would finally say hi after being on the boards just reading and searching for a while.
