Welcome Chris.
I am sure you can handle teaching your daughter to drive stick just fine.,
Tip:think of the brake as a Teeter-Totter..Push clutch down,gas pedal goes up..........push on gas,let clutch come up!..See-Saw..Teeter-Totter!
In the meantime Any Technical questions can be asked IN the New members TECH Section.
Thanks.STYX (MOD)

That's clever... with all the people I've taught to drive stick, I've never used that one... :-)

Good advice!

If she's having issues with transitioning from clutch to gas as I did when learning, there's another trick. Try holding the engine at 1000rpm and then letting go of the clutch. Rotary engines tend to rev very smoothly, so keeping it at 1000rpm is much easier than on a piston engine.

The other neat thing I picked up was that you can hear when the clutch is engaged as the transmission and driveshaft are directly under the shifter

Yeah I think the RX is probably one of the easier cars to learn on. It still has an "analog" feel to it, unlike cable driven spaghetti shifting FWD cars.
