Sorry I forgot to put my name in my other post. I have an 88 Convertible that hasn been in the garage too long. Need to get her going, my teen daughter wants to learn to drive stick!! Its currently having an ignition issue... think the leading coil is bad.

Welcome Chris.
I am sure you can handle teaching your daughter to drive stick just fine.,
Tip:think of the brake as a Teeter-Totter..Push clutch down,gas pedal goes up..........push on gas,let clutch come up!..See-Saw..Teeter-Totter!

If she's having issues with transitioning from clutch to gas as I did when learning, there's another trick. Try holding the engine at 1000rpm and then letting go of the clutch. Rotary engines tend to rev very smoothly, so keeping it at 1000rpm is much easier than on a piston engine.
The other neat thing I picked up was that you can hear when the clutch is engaged as the transmission and driveshaft are directly under the shifter
