Checking into the RX7 world
Here is my introduction. My name is Drew and around June of last year I got sick of only going in a straight line and decided to start taking a corner here and there. So after some research found myself a cheap, rust free but well beaten FC RX7 to purchase as a weekend and track car.
I am new to the RX7 but not new to restoring and meticulously maintaining vehicles. The car is a 87 RX7 N/A 5 speed. I believe it is just a base model, but says GTU on the back window. It has 5 lug and the 4 piston front calipers, and a previous owner put a T2 hood on it.
Much of this car was previously what I would refer to as "Redneck" engineered by a previous owner. Virtually everything was stripped off of it to include emissions, idle control, omp, etc. They also must have been against gaskets and quality vacuum lines because everything was sealed with globs of silicone. It was also in primer. Over time the car will be put into good working order for track and weekend use.
Here are some pictures of the car and some of my previous builds.
When I got it.
In progress(Current)
What may find its way in if the Rotary does not cooperate. 6.0 and a T56
Previous builds
.
I look forward to learning much from this community and hopefully getting a point that I can contribute.

Looks like there was a bit of an issue on the photos.
Still in progress is the engine bay wire tuck. Already tore the interior completely apart and repaired all the wiring that appeared bad or questionable. I do have the swap stuff for the 6.0 and T56 but with all the issues I found causing the rotary to run crappy I am interested in getting it back up and going with those fixed and going a season to see how it does.
Still have to get the seats recovered and tidy up a few other bits on the interior.
